Kindling is used to start a fire, whether it be in a log burner or an open fire. A fire needs to be slowly built up, using small pieces of wood, before increasing to logs.
Our kindling is kiln dried hardwood, which is different compared to most softwood kindling. With it being a hardwood, when lit it burns for longer than its softwood counterpart. This allows your stove or open fire a much better chance at lighting easily.
Lighting a fire with our kindling could not be any easier, just used 3-4 pieces, plus one of our natural firelighters, and you will have the perfect foundation for your fire. Our kindling has been kiln dried, which means it has an extremely low moisture content. This means it will catch fire effortlessly, allowing you more time to relax with the fire, rather than spending a lot of time lighting it.
Using kindling increases fire safety. There is no need to use kerosene or gasoline, to get a better start on the fire. It is also better for the environment, our kindling is made from the off cuts of furniture. This is a sustainable source.
Our kindling is supplied in sturdy plastic bags with a handle. This keeps your kindling neat and dry, and does not make a mess, unlike netted kindling. The handle also helps when carrying it from your log storage to stove or open fire. Each piece is an uniform length of 7 inches, perfect size for handling, and fitting within your stove.
